- מְרִירְתָּאf. (מְרַר) 1) bitter, v. מָרִיר I. 2) also מְרֵירְתָּא, מְרַרְתָּא = h. מָרָה, gall, bile. Targ. Y. Ex. 23:25 מחת מ׳ affection of the gall, v. מָרָה I; a. e.Keth.50a מרר׳ דדַיָּהוכ׳ the gall of a white dayah (v. דַּיָּה). Pes.39a, v. כּוּפְיָא. (Ib. במרור מרירתא; אמררתא, v. מְרָרִיתָא.
